Surya Namaskar (Sun Salutation)
Our Students practice Surya Namaskar, a Yoga practice incorporating a sequence of gracefully linked asanas. This helps them to activate the dormant powers and also keep themselves healthy.
This is an important schedule for the students because :
- Many diseases can be cured by the use of sun rays e.g. ailments of the heart, eyes, jaundice, leprosy and weak mind.
- The sun removes physical, mental and spiritual weaknesses and makes one healthy and long lived. The seven colours of the sun are very good and important for the health.
- As per Scientists ,Solar ultraviolet (UV) radiation has been used since ancient times to treat various diseases. This has a scientific background in the fact that a large number of molecules in different layers of the skin interacts with and absorbs UV.
